Coaching Offerings

Whether you want to go deep on unblocking creative practice, building connected community, or reimagining a more connected parenting and family dynamic, I am here to hold space for you. I offer three types of coaching, or a combination of the three.

1. Unblocking Creative Practice Coaching

When you’re feeling stuck.
Being blocked doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re tangled in systems that keep us silent and exhausted—capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, colonialism.

This coaching is for anyone feeling creatively stuck who wants to:

  • Reconnect to their creative voice and imagination.

  • Move through creative blocks with relational, liberatory tools.

  • Root their practice in care and collective flourishing.

  • Move through career or life transitions from a place rooted in creative capacity and intuition.

Together we’ll build rhythms, quiet the inner critic, and reclaim creativity as an act of liberation.

2. Connection-based Parenting & Family Coaching

When connection feels hard.
Our society is designed in a way that is anathema to humanity’s natural instincts to connect. If you’re looking to deepen connection with your kids or partner, reimagine expansive ways to view family, or navigate conflict, separation, or divorce from a place of deep connection, I’m here to help.

This coaching is for caregivers who want to:

  • Center connection instead of control.

  • Move through conflict with clarity and dignity.

  • Reimagine family structures beyond the nuclear model.

Together we’ll create practices that support your family’s flourishing and your own grounded presence.

3. Community & Belonging Coaching

Let’s break through isolation and grow the muscles needed to weave community.

Building community is tender and messy work—but it doesn’t have to be lonely.

This coaching is for new or seasoned organizers, leaders, and community-builders who want to:

  • Map and nurture their ecosystem of belonging.

  • Develop practices that sustain collective accountability.

  • Navigate conflict in ways that deepen, rather than fracture, relationships.

  • Learn how to build robust, sustainable, healthy communities

Together we’ll design care-based strategies to build community that lasts.

My coaching approach

Each coaching offering draws from my multimodal approach—integrating somatic experiencing, nonviolent communication, restorative justice, mindfulness, and intuitive practice. We’ll tailor our work to your needs through weekly or bi-weekly 1:1 sessions, with sliding-scale pricing to keep coaching both accessible and sustainable.

If you’re ready to reimagine a more connected career, creative practice, relationships, community, or all of it, I’m here to help.

About Me

Hey, I’m Sara. I’m so glad you found your way here. I’m the founder of Folkweaver, and am a mother and writer, partner and friend, coach and community builder here to co-create a world that radically reimagines the way we are to be in relationship together.

Storytelling, coaching, circle holding and art-making are her vehicles to radically re-imagine our relationship with ourselves, each other, and our planet.

I hold a Masters degree as a teacher and have been holding learning spaces either in community or 1:1 for two decades. I’m trained as a doula, coached cross-industry founders and executives in nonviolent communication and restorative justice principles to for half a decade, and have trained in modalities including intuitive medicine and somatic experiencing.

When I’m not coaching or art-making, I writes weekly essays which you can subscribe to at folkweaver.substack.com. I’m published at Motherly Magazine , Mutha Magazine, and HTH Unboxed.

My Coaching Approach

My coaching is relational, not transactional. I hold a small number of clients so we can go deep together. Sessions are a space of care, curiosity, and accountability—always tailored to your needs.

Structure

  • Sessions: Weekly or bi-weekly 1:1 virtual sessions (60 minutes).

  • Support: Light check-ins between sessions for accountability and encouragement.

  • Commitment: We can work in short sprints (for deadlines or transitions) or in longer arcs (for big projects, family restructuring, or community-building work).

My Approach

I weave together modalities including:

  • Somatic experiencing & mindfulness

  • Internal Family Systems & attachment theory

  • Nonviolent communication & restorative justice

  • Intuitive medicine & energy work

This multimodal practice honors both your inner landscape and the systems you’re navigating. It means:

  • You are not failing—you are surviving.

  • Our work is liberation-based, not hustle-based.

  • You’ll leave with embodied tools you can practice in daily life, not just ideas.

This Is For You If…

  • You feel stuck—in your work, your creativity, your relationships, or your sense of purpose.

  • You’re in a transition (career, parenting, family, or community) and want clarity for what’s next.

  • You’ve started projects or paths before but find yourself stalling or losing momentum.

  • You’re a caregiver or parent longing for connection over control, and a way to break cycles of isolation.

  • You’re navigating conflict or family restructuring and want to move through it with dignity and care.

  • You’re building community or collective projects and don’t want to carry the work alone.

  • You know creativity, care, and connection are some of our deepest tools for resistance and liberation.

  • You’re ready to reclaim your voice, relationships, and belonging as part of our collective flourishing.

Sliding Scale Coaching

My coaching is relational, not transactional — I hold a very small number of clients at a time so we can go deep together.

I offer coaching on a weekly or bi-weekly basis because consistency is what builds momentum.

This September, I’m offering Founding Client rates: $150–$225/week. You choose your spot on the scale based on your financial capacity. Each package includes a weekly 60-minute 1:1 session + light online support between sessions.

These founding rates are available through the end of September. Beginning in the Fall my coaching rate will move to $225-275/week (with a limited number of sliding-scale spots starting at $200/week for caregivers, BIPOC folks, and those navigating transition).

We live in late-stage capitalism, where care work and creative work are too often undervalued. I want coaching to remain accessible and to sustain me as a working parent and writer. That’s why I use a sliding scale.

Schedule a free intro chat

If you’re curious about working together, let’s chat! I’m have a small number of coaching spots available for new clients this fall, and would love to have a free intro chat together to see whether coaching might be a good fit to help you get unstuck and flow as you’re meant to.
